Britt Worldwide is the brain child of Brill Britt of Amway fame.
Bill Britt is an icon of not only Amway but of network marketing as a whole. He has branded himself as having the largest down line in Amway and he is what he says he is.
Britt Worldwide has organized all his endeavours and put them onto one web site for convenience of his many followers. Membership to is dependent upon one being registered as an Amway representative. This is unfortunate as the site presents itself as exciting and I am sure could be used as an effective marketing tool should they wish to use it to bring in new leads. Maybe Britt Worldwide is too big to need those leads or maybe they just haven’t caught on to the power of internet marketing.
With very little effort I was able to sign into the Britt Worldwide site though I am not an Amway representative. Inside I saw a whole store for ordering books and cd’s, not only those produced by Britt Worldwide but also many self help books from such classic authors as Og Mandino and Napolean Hill. The majority of the material though appeared to be produced by Britt Worldwide and one can easily see this is a main money maker for Bill Britt.
Other items available are access to meetings. The meeting listings include open meetings for prospects, regional training meetings put on by various leaders and huge national events hosted by Bill Britt himself. These large national type meetings are notorious for being extremely inspirational and certainly evangelistic in nature. Bill’s disciples are very loyal and hold the man almost as a saint and saviour. Of course, these are also major sources of income for Britt. It makes one wonders if they make more off of their motivational products or off of Amway itself?
After a bit of a look around in the Britt Worldwide site I found what I as an author and network marketer was looking for, the Britt Worldwide marketing plan.
My first experience 25 years ago in network marketing was as an Amway representative in the Bill Britt organization. At that time we were taught to make a list of everyone we could think of that we knew. We were then to break that list down into hot, warm and cold leads. Once we had finished this task, we were to head out and contact first our hot markets, then the warm market and finally the cold leads.
I was somewhat surprised to discover that nothing had changed in 25 years. The Britt Worldwide system was still that of making a list and going through it though they changed the term from hot, warm and cold to A, B & C.
This is a tried to true method of marketing and if you are a Bill Britt you can make it work. For the rest of us though, it just doesn’t. After contacting our friends and family, most who are not interested at all in any “network marketing scheme”, the average person is either disillusioned and/or left wondering where to go to next.
Britt Worldwide has put some money and resources to building their web presence. It is unfortunate they have yet to really take advantage of it and show others how to also.
